
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — The NYPD is searching for a gunman on moped accused of shooting a man three times on Brooklyn street
earlier this week.
At approximately 1:24 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21, the suspect discharged a firearm multiple times at a 40-year-old man in front of 1610 Saint Johns Pl. in Crown Heights, striking him in the abdomen, hip, and right forearm.
The suspect then fled the location on a moped, traveling southbound on Utica Avenue.
EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County in stable condition.
The suspect was wearing a black helmet, a black hoodie, gray sweatpants, and gray sneakers.
