NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a gunman captured on video opening fire on a Brooklyn street after a vehicle collision last month, authorities said.
On Friday, April 9, at approximately 5 p.m., a 53-year-old man stopped at a red light in the vicinity of 46 Palmetto Street in Bushwick when his vehicle was struck by a white Honda sedan reversing in front of him, according to police.
Officials said the victim attempted to exchange information with the man who was operating the Honda, when the unidentified man exited the car, displayed a silver firearm, and discharged it one time toward the victim.
The victim was not struck and the suspect fled the location in the Honda northbound on Bushwick Avenue, authorities said.
No injuries were reported.
The NYPD is asking for the public's assistance in locating the gunman depicted in the video released on Tuesday.
Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
