NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — The NYPD is searching for a gunman in a shooting that left one person wounded and killed a man and a woman in the Bronx early Friday, authorities said.
At approximately 12:14 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of a person shot in front of 2290 Davidson Ave. in University Heights.
Upon arrival, police observed 36-year-old Justin Lawless with a gunshot wound to the chest and 44-year-old Claretha Daniels, with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Officials also found a 40-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the right arm.
EMS transported all three victims to Saint Barnabas Hospital.
Lawless and Daniels were pronounced deceased at the hospital. The 40-year-old man is currently in stable condition.
There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
