NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A trio of gunmen posing as police officers broke into a home in the Bronx, handcuffed two women inside and ransacked the place before making off with a cell phone, the NYPD said Friday.
The three robbers forced open the rear door of a home near Gabriel Drive and Mace Avenue in Pelham Gardens around 12:30 a.m. on April 27, police said.

All three of the robbers were carrying guns and wearing baseball hats and vests emblazoned with the word "Police," the NYPD said.
Once they were inside, the gunmen handcuffed a 32-year-old woman and a 53-year-old woman, demanded cash and ransacked the home, police said.
They fled the scene with a cell phone belonging to one of the woman, the NYPD said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
