NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- At least a half-dozen people were shot, and one man was stabbed, after the West Indian Day Parade in Brooklyn on Monday, according to officials and reports.
Police said there were several shootings along Eastern Parkway, including at Washington Avenue, Utica Avenue and Classon Avenue in Crown Heights.
The shootings happened between roughly 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. The gunshot victims included three men and a woman. A fourth man was also stabbed.

All of those victims were expected to survive, police said. No arrests were immediately reported.
Additionally, two people were reportedly injured in a shooting a few blocks away from Eastern Parkway—at Sterling Place and Nostrand Avenue—around 6:15 p.m.
And a 14-year-old was also reportedly shot around 9:30 p.m. at Rochester Avenue and Eastern Parkway.
NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said last week that the West Indian Day Parade and J’Ouvert celebrations would involve the year’s largest deployment of police officers.
The two events draw more than 1 million people each year but have also had issues with scattered violence, including a fatal shooting near the parade route last year that police are still searching for the shooter in.
