NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A Harlem man was arrested and charged with murder Thursday—after police found his friend’s torso in a Bronx apartment.

Sheldon Johnson, 48, was cuffed at 10 a.m. and hit with charges of murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

Johnson is suspected of killing Collin Small, 44, whose torso was found at his apartment on Summit Avenue in Highbridge, not far from Yankee Stadium.

A police wellness check at Small's apartment on Tuesday night led to a search warrant being obtained for the home, where the torso was ultimately found.

A potential motive for the killing isn’t yet known, according to police, who said the two men were friends.
