NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A man was shot in the face in broad daylight and two women were wounded just hours later in a pair of shootings in Harlem on Monday, police said.
The 61-year-old man was sitting on a bench at the corner of West 154th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard at 2 p.m. when he was shot.
Police said there was some sort of dispute at the corner, and a gunman came up and opened fire.

EMS rushed the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where he was in critical but stable condition.
The gunman fled down Frederick Douglass Boulevard and remained at large Tuesday.
It's not yet clear if the victim was the intended target or a bystander.
Six hours later—and about a mile southwest of the first shooting—two women were shot around 8:40 p.m. outside an apartment building at West 144th Street and Broadway.
It's not yet clear what led up to the shooting. It's also unknown if the two women—ages 63 and 39—were the intended targets or bystanders.

The 63-year-old was shot once in the left underarm and once in the right hip, while the 39-year-old was shot once in the right leg, police said.
They were both taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem in stable condition.
No arrests have been reported in the shooting.
