NEW YORK (BLOOMBERG) — High Noon announced a recall of vodka seltzer drinks that it says were mislabeled as Celsius energy drinks, according to a posting on the US Food and Drug Administration’s website.

“Consumption of the liquid in these cans will result in unintentional alcohol ingestion,” the company said. No illnesses or adverse events have been reported for this recall to date.

High Noon, which is owned by E&J Gallo Winery, recalled its Beach Variety 12-packs after some Celsius Astro Vibe sparkling blue razz cans were accidentally filled with High Noon vodka seltzer. The packs were sent to stores in Florida, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin between July 21 and July 23.

A Gallo spokeswoman said in an email that the voluntary recall stemmed from “a labeling error from our can supplier,” and that it was working with the FDA, retailers and distributors to proactively manage the recall.

She declined to provide the name of the packaging supplier.
