Dyral Brown, of Bedford-Stuyvesant, was hit by the driver just a block from his Atlantic Avenue home Saturday at around 3:12 a.m., according to police.

Brown was attempting to cross Atlantic Avenue, from north to south, at Nostrand Avenue when the driver of a silver SUV “traveling at an apparent high rate of speed” hit him and fled the scene, police said.

Responders found Brown lying in the roadway with trauma to his body. He was transported to Interfaith Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

An investigation is ongoing, police said.
