NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is investigating a box truck that fatally struck a pedestrian in a hit-and-run crash in Brooklyn Friday morning.
It happened just before 9:45 am. at the intersection of Wyckoff and DeKalb avenues in Bushwick, authorities said.
According to police, a white box truck was driving down DeKalb Avenue when it struck a male pedestrian.
The truck did not remain on the scene.
The man was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition and later died.
The NYPD Highway Collision Squad is investigating.
