NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD said a homeless man stabbed a good Samaritan inside of a Queens park Tuesday night for delivering food "too late."
Officers responded to a 911 call at around 10:12 p.m. Tuesday in Hoffman Park at Hoffman Drive in Elmhurst finding the victim stabbed in the upper right side of his chest.
Police said the confrontation began as the victim was handing out food causing the unidentified attacker to get upset over the timing of his good deed — stabbing him with an unknown object.
EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst where he is listed in critical but stable condition.
Authorities said there are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
