Chang’s restaurant at Pier 17 in the Seaport District will start serving Spicy Rice Cakes made with Impossible Pork Ragu on Friday, Impossible Foods said in a press release.

The chef launched the company’s Impossible Burger at Momofuku Nishi — his now-shuttered restaurant in Chelsea — back in 2016, the release said. His fried chicken chain Fuku, which has an outpost in Hudson Yards, began serving Impossible Chicken Nuggets earlier this month, the release added.

“Our menu calls for high quality, versatile ingredients, and Impossible Foods’ products always deliver,” Momofuku Culinary Director Max Ng said in a statement. “Impossible Pork replicates the delicious flavor and juiciness of pork, making it a perfect fit for one of our most iconic dishes.”

More than 100 restaurants in Hong Kong will also start serving Impossible Pork starting Oct. 4, the release noted.

“With Impossible Pork, we’re beating the animal again while satisfying even more types of cuisine — another important step towards making the global food system much more sustainable,” Impossible Foods President Dennis Woodside said in his own statement.

Impossible Pork “features a mild savory flavor and balanced umami richness without being gamey or overpowering,” the release said, adding that the meat substitute “can be served in any ground meat dish, including spring rolls, meatballs, dumplings, xiao long bao, shumai or tacos, and can be cooked in a steamer, oven, charbroiler, flat-top grill or sauté pan.”
