NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – From the insurrection to the inauguration and even the ongoing spread of COVID-19, 2021 was one wild ride. With 2022 on the horizon, many are excited for a fresh start, especially in New York.

Between the arrival of a new mayor and several new (and major) policy changes, the lives of New Yorkers are already looking up.

But with great change comes great uncertainty. Will newly elected Mayor Eric Adams hit the ground running, fighting the uptick in omicron cases and ongoing pushback against mandates along the way? Will any of the new statewide policies impact his agenda or other struggling industries?

From recreational marijuana to mobile sports betting, in this week’s episode of 1010 WINS In Depth, host Femi Redwood speaks with several experts to break down the changes in law that New Yorkers need to know and how the state stands to benefit

Speaking of benefits, Femi also sits down with an attorney to discuss some new laws aimed at increasing wages and transparency for the workforce that’s becoming increasingly remote.
