NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Last week, Mayor Eric Adams unveiled a new plan to improve safety on New York City's subway system.
The plan is comprised of two solutions: one that focuses on improving some of the system's infrastructure and one that focuses on the homeless who have seemingly overrun the trains and the tunnels.
As New Yorkers continue to return to work and pandemic restrictions become more relaxed, Adams aims to rejuvenate the subways, or what he calls "the city's lifeblood."
On this episode of 1010 WINS In Depth, host Femi Redwood breaks down each plan. She also sits down with local advocates to hear what they think in effort to answer the question, "Are these initiatives enough?"
