NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Actor Jesse Williams secured multiple visitation rights with his children in New York City in the midst of a heated custody battle with his ex-wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, ahead of his Broadway return.

The "Grey's Anatomy" actor was awarded his requested custodial visits with their daughter Sadie, 8, and son Maceo, 7, as he temporarily moves to the Big Apple from Los Angeles to reprise his Tony-nominated role in "Take Me Out," court documents obtained by People show.

His wife reportedly argued against their children visiting the actor in the city, but a court sided with the 41-year-old on Sept. 30, and his kids will be able to visit on certain days through December.

The order said that "each party is restrained from making derogatory remarks about the other party, either directly or indirectly to the minor children, nor allow any third party to do so."

In addition, the judge ordered that the parents are not to "discuss this case with or in front of the minor children nor allow anyone else to do so" or use their children as "a messenger to deliver messages to the other parent."

The actor and real estate agent have also been ordered to attend 10 sessions of co-parenting counseling. Williams filed for divorce in April 2017.

The decision comes on the heels of a previous ruling that gave Williams custody during his run in the Broadway play in the spring, allowing him to spend four consecutive days each month in New York City with their children.

Limited performances of the Tony-winning play will begin on Oct. 27.
