NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — A man was fatally shot inside the lobby of a Brooklyn apartment building Friday evening, police said.
Police responding to the scene found Jorge Sanango, 21, with a gunshot wound to the chest inside the lobby of 557 46th Street in Sunset Park just before 5 p.m., cops said.
Sanango was transported to NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn, where he was pronounced dead.
The shooter remains at large and an investigation is ongoing, police said.
Sanango was one of several shot in Brooklyn Friday. A 16-year-old girl is in critical condition after being shot in the head while playing with her friends near a Gowanus playground Friday afternoon.
