NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An investigation was launched by the NYPD after a man was found fatally shot in the head on a Brooklyn street early Wednesday, authorities said.
Just before 5 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of a person shot in the vicinity of Schenectady Avenue and St. Johns Place in Crown Heights.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head.
EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County where he was pronounced dead.
There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
The identity of the victim is pending proper family notification.
