Man, 28, fatally shot in the Bronx

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are investigating the shooting death of a man in the Bronx Sunday evening.

At approximately 7 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a person shot at the intersection of Morris Avenue and East 174th Street in Mount Hope, officials said.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 28-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds throughout the body.

He was later identified as Courtney Howell.

EMS transported Howell to Saint Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

 The investigation remains ongoing.
