NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A driver struck and killed a 28-year-old man as he was walking on a service road on Long Island early Tuesday morning, police said.
Andrew Taylor, of Bay Shore, was walking on Sunrise Service Road, west of Atlantic Avenue in Bay Shore, around 4:15 a.m. when a driver traveling west in a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan hit him, Suffolk County police said.
Taylor was taken to South Shore University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
The 22-year-old driver stayed at the scene and has not been charged in connection with Taylor's death, police said. An investigation is ongoing.
