NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is searching for a gunman after a 30-year-old man was shot in the head Wednesday night in Midtown, about two blocks from Times Square.
At about 10:45 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 345 West 42nd St. in Hell's Kitchen.
Upon arrival, officers observed a man with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in critical condition and later died.
The victim was identified as Marco Reyes, of the Bronx.
There have been no arrests made at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
The fatal shooting came the same night a 21-year-old man was shot and killed in Chelsea.
