NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 32-year-old man was shot and killed several blocks from Yankee Stadium on Wednesday night, police said.
The man was shot inside of an apartment building on the Grand Concourse, at E. 164th Street, around 7:40 p.m., according to police.
Officers responding to a 911 call found the man unconscious with gunshot wounds to his lower back and torso, police said.
He was rushed to Lincoln Hospital but did not survive.
Police have withheld his identity until his family is notified.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting are not known.
No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing, police said.
