NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is investigating after a man was fatally shot on the Upper West Side on Thursday evening.
At approximately 6 p.m., 33-year-old Rashaun Hopkins was shot multiple times in the chest in front of 53 West 104 St. at the Frederick Douglass Houses, officials said.
Hopkins was transported to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The suspect was allegedly wearing all black and fled the scene on a moped, authorities said.
So far no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
