NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Police launched an investigation after a man at an East Harlem playground was fatally shot and killed Wednesday night, according to officials.
The shooting occurred at approximately 8:40 p.m. in the playground area at the Robert F. Wagner Houses NYCHA complex near 90 Paladino Avenue, authorities said.
According to police, the 34-year-old man was shot once in the head. He was rushed to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Officials have not released the victim's identity.
There have been no arrests made and an investigation is ongoing.
