NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man was slashed across the head and back aboard a subway train in Brooklyn on Thursday, police said as they released video of the suspect they're searching for.

The 37-year-old victim was aboard a Queens-bound J train, near the Marcy Avenue station in Williamsburg, around 6:30 a.m. Thursday when a man got into an argument with him, police said.

The dispute escalated, and the man took out a box cutter and slashed the victim across his head and back, according to police.

The attacker then fled the train at the Marcy Avenue station, police said.

EMS responded to the station and took the victim to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in stable condition.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect on Friday.
