NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is investigating the murder of a man in the Bronx early Saturday morning that was committed over a parking spot, sources told 1010 WINS.
Officers responded to 1735 Fowler Ave. in Morris Park just before 2 a.m. and discovered 49-year-old Trevor Hughes with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, police said.
Hughes was shot and killed outside his residence, according to police.
Sources told 1010 WINS that the shooting occurred while the victim was engaged in a fight with two men over a parking spot.
The suspects fled the scene in a Jeep SUV, police said.
EMS responded and transported Hughes to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi where he was pronounced dead, officials said.
There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
