NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A 60-year-old man was viciously beaten and robbed by a trio of young thieves as he walked home in Chelsea, police said Thursday.
The victim was headed home at West 23rd Street and Ninth Avenue at 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 9 when the three suspects allegedly ganged up on him.
They punched and kicked him while demanding his money, according to police, who said they got away with his wallet and iPhone.
The suspects were last seen fleeing towards the 23rd Street subway station at Eighth Avenue.
The victim suffered various injuries to his face, chest and legs.
