NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man was fatally struck by a 19-year-old BMW driver in Bedford-Stuyvesant late Monday, police said.
Glen Fields, 61, was crossing Bedford Avenue around 11:55 p.m. when he was hit by a 2007 BMW driver heading north on the avenue.
Officers responding to a 911 call found the man with body trauma lying in the roadway near Halsey Street, unconscious and unresponsive.
He was rushed to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the driver remained at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing by the NYPD Highway Collision Investigation Squad.
