MURDER MYSTERY: Man, 64, found dead with trauma all over his body in ambulette on Bronx street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is investigating the death of a man found with trauma all over his body in an ambulette on a Bronx street Monday morning.

The NYPD said officers responding to a 911 call discovered 64-year-old Peter Forrest, who lived in the borough's Allerton section and worked for Long Island-based Marquis Ambulette, inside one of the company's vehicles parked on a side street near Barrett Avenue in Castle Hill Park.

1010 WINS obtained surveillance video (above) from a neighbor on Castle Hill Avenue: In the video, the parked ambulette is visible. A car then pulls up, and some time passes and a person is seen exiting the ambulette and the car speeds off.

"It's a tragic story, hopefully detectives can figure it out," one neighbor told 1010 WINS.

Another neighbor told 1010 WINS of Forrest, "He didn't bother nobody or say nothing to nobody."

His manner of death was deemed to be homicide and the city's medical examiner is working to determine the cause of death.

Police have made no arrests and an investigation is ongoing.
