    Mary-Lyn Buckley

Mary-Lyn Buckley joined the 1010 WINS team as a reporter and anchor in March 2024. She has covered the 2024 presidential election, the NYPD’s raid of Columbia University, NYC Mayor Eric Adams’ federal indictment, and Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ongoing sex trafficking case. She also traveled to Altoona, Pennsylvania, where she tracked down the witness who led police to Luigi Mangione, the accused United Healthcare CEO gunman.

Mary-Lyn was named to Radio Ink magazine’s 2024 class of 30 and Under Superstars after being nominated by Audacy’s Vice President of News, Ben Mevorach, who said, “More than just a rising star, she is quickly becoming a gold standard of excellence for those honing their craft.”

Before joining 1010 WINS, Mary-Lyn spent over four years at News 12, covering the Bronx, Brooklyn, and New Jersey. During her time there, she earned two New York Emmy nominations—one for her severe weather reporting during record flooding in the Bronx, and another for her special feature on the current state of school safety in NYC public schools. In 2018, she worked as a morning reporter at FiOS 1 News, covering New Jersey, and as a freelance multimedia journalist at Fox 29 in Philadelphia.

Born in Brooklyn and raised in Staten Island, Mary-Lyn attended college in New Jersey and graduated magna cum laude from Rider University in 2018. During her undergraduate years, she studied abroad in Germany, Italy, and Ireland, and interned with WABC-TV’s consumer unit, 7 On Your Side, and the newsroom at WNYW Fox 5.

Outside of work, Mary-Lyn loves to travel the world and enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Dakota. She is thrilled to work at the radio station she grew up listening to with her dad and is excited to continue telling stories in the greatest city in the world.
