NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Police released a photo of a suspect on Tuesday accused of spraying a man in the face with an unknown burning liquid in Lower Manhattan last month.
The attack happened on March 18 at about 10:20 a.m., when an unidentified individual approached a 67-year-old man in front of 206 Front St. in the Financial District.
The suspect began by yelling at the victim and then sprayed an unknown substance in his face, causing pain and burning, according to police.
The suspect then ran northbound on Front Street.
The victim was taken to New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital in stable condition.
Police described the suspect as a heavily built man with a salt-and-pepper beard, last seen wearing a black hat, a red jacket over a black shirt, blue jeans, and blue and white sneakers.
