NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD launched an investigation after a 75-year-old man was found shot to death in a lake at a Queens park on Monday afternoon.
Police responded to Kissena Lake at Kissena Park at approximately 4:55 p.m. after receiving a report of an unresponsive male. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, identified as Albert Itzkowitz of Queens, lying near the water's edge.
Itzkowitz had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his neck and back and was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
As of Tuesday, a motive remains unclear and no arrests have been made. An investigation remains ongoing.
