NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A 91-year-old man died after crashing an e-bike on Brooklyn’s Belt Parkway this week, police said Friday.

The victim was found unconscious on the parkway exit ramp leading to the Plumb Beach parking area just before 7 p.m. Tuesday.

He died at NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn on Wednesday, according to police. He was identified as George Attias, of nearby Brighton Beach.

Police believe he was riding an e-bike eastbound on the busy parkway and traveling on the exit ramp to Plumb Beach when he struck the curb, causing him to be ejected onto the roadway, where he struck his head.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing, the NYPD said.
