Man aboard Brooklyn train stabbed in the leg, suspect sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a suspect they said stabbed a man aboard a subway train in Brooklyn early Friday morning.

The incident occurred at around 12:15 a.m. when officials said the attacker stabbed a 30-year-old man in the right leg while on a southbound No 4 train approaching the Nevins Street station in Downtown Brooklyn.


The suspect, who police believe is a man in his 30s, ran off the train at the station in an unknown direction, according to officials.

The victim was taken to Methodist Hospital in stable condition.

Police are investigating the events leading up to the stabbing.
