NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials are searching for a man they said sexually assaulted a woman in the West Village Sunday.
At approximately 2:36 a.m., police said the suspect approached the 20-year-old victim from behind near Barrow Street and Greenwich Street.
Police said the man then pushed the woman to the ground, said he had a gun and then sexually abused the victim.
The suspect fled eastbound on Barrow Street, officials said.
The victim was transported to Beth Israel Hospital for evaluation.
