NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A 45-year-old man was arrested on Friday afternoon for allegedly punching a pair of 12-year-old boys on a Brooklyn street last week.

At 5:43 p.m. on April 18, a stranger approached the 12-year-olds in front of 481 Kings Highway in Gravesend, near the corner of McDonald Avenue, and struck them in the face.

The children suffered minor injuries, and officials said that EMS took them to Maimonides Medical Center to treat their abrasions.

Willie Guzman, of Bath Beach, is accused of committing the crime and fleeing on foot. He was charged on Friday with two counts of third-degree assault.

Police released photos of Guzman less than 24 hours before his arrest to help their investigation.
