NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD arrested a man on Monday for allegedly beating a subway rider with a stick in a Lower East Side station early in the morning.
Police said that at about 1:18 a.m. in the Bowery subway station, a 49-year-old man got into a fight with 33-year-old Timothy Creech.
Creech is accused of escalating the argument by striking the older man in the side with a stick. Officials said that there is no indication the men knew each other before the incident.
The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue.
Creech was arrested and charged in the incident, police said.
