NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD arrested a 28-year-old man in an attempted kidnapping that occurred in Brooklyn late last month, authorities said.
Felipe Rodriguez was charged with attempted kidnapping on Saturday, police said Monday.
The attempt happened at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Friday, May 26, in front of a food truck located at 8 Wyckoff Ave. in Bushwick, officials said.
According to police a 36-year-old woman and her 7-year-old daughter were waiting at a food truck at the location when Rodriguez allegedly came running by and attempted to physically grab the child.
After a brief struggle, the mother was able to break the man's grip on her daughter.
Rodriguez then fled the scene on foot heading northbound on Wyckoff Avenue toward Flushing Avenue.
The 7-year-old girl was not injured.
