Man arrested for murder after victim, 70, repeatedly stabbed in chest in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Brooklyn man has been arrested and charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of a 70-year-old man on Monday, authorities said.

According to the NYPD, officers responded to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center just after 1:00 a.m., after the victim was brought in by private means with multiple stab wounds to the chest.

The man, later identified by police as Fredrick Howard, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

An investigation led officers to 1323 East 87th St. in Canarsie, where the incident is believed to have occurred. At about 11:00 p.m., police arrested Josny Jean, who resided at the same address.

Jean was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
