
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police arrested a 21-year-old Brooklyn man on Thursday for throwing a rock at a Jewish man as he entered a Queens synagogue last week.
Kenneth Azogue allegedly threw a small rock from the window of a van at a 23-year-old man as he entered Bais Yosef D’Ulem at the corner of 141st Street and 72nd Road in Kew Gardens Hills on May 6 around 9:06 p.m.
The rock hit the man in the leg, but he didn’t suffer any injuries and refused medical attention.
Police charged Azogue with hate crime assault, aggravated harassment and criminal possession of a weapon.
