
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police released photos on Tuesday of a suspect wanted in connection to assaulting a Brooklyn subway worker earlier this month.
The MTA train operator was assaulted on Nov. 1 on the southbound 3 train platform at the New Lots Avenue subway station, police said.
The attack happened at around 8:45 a.m. when the 58-year-old MTA employee noticed a man smoking weed on the platform. The victim asked the man to put out the weed, according to police.
The suspect then punched the train operator multiple times in the head and face, knocking him to the ground.
The suspect then fled the scene on a southbound 3 train, police said.
The victim suffered pain and bruising throughout his body and was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Brookdale in stable condition.
