NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a man wanted for attacking an MTA employee with a mop inside a Queens subway station earlier this month.
At approximately 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, a 37-year-old on-duty MTA employee was standing on the northbound platform N line at the Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard subway station when the suspect picked up a mop and threw it at the employee, striking her face, officials said.
The suspect then fled on foot to parts unknown.
The victim sustained minor injuries. She was transported to an area hospital by private means.
