NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a group of children accused of slashing a man during a violent robbery inside a Manhattan subway station early Wednesday morning.

It happened inside the Canal Street train station in Chinatown around 4:30 a.m., police said.

According to officials, a 38-year-old man was getting off a train onto the northbound platform of the N and Q lines when he was approached the the group.

The children then allegedly grabbed cannabis from the victim’s hand causing an argument to ensue.
