NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD released surveillance footage on Wednesday of a man they are searching for accused of viciously beating a 24-year-old man after an argument aboard a train in Brooklyn last month.
At approximately 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, May 30, the suspect was engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim onboard a southbound R train approaching the 4th Avenue and 9th Street Station in Park Slope, officials said.
The dispute then turned physical and the suspect began to strike the victim in the head with a glass bottle causing a deep cut near the left eye, according to police.
The suspect fled on foot southbound on 4th Avenue, authorities said.
EMS transported the victim to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition.
Officials described the suspect as a dark-skinned man approximately 30 - 40 years of age, 6'2" to 6'4" tall, 200 lbs with shoulder-length dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a multicolored sweatshirt, light-colored pants, white sneakers, and has a star tattoo on his left hand.
