NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A man groped a woman on a Brooklyn subway platform last week before following her onto a train, where he hurled anti-gay slurs at her and broke her nose, police said.

The NYPD's Hate Crime Task Force released images of the suspect over the weekend as they search for him in last Thursday afternoon's attack in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

The 22-year-old victim was waiting on a southbound J-line platform at the Myrtle Avenue station around 1:15 p.m. when the man grabbed her backside, according to police.

As they were arguing on a J train a short time later, the man made anti-gay insults, including "f****t," to the woman and punched her in the face and body "numerous times," police said.

The victim suffered a fractured nose in the attack, according to police. She took herself to an area hospital to be treated for her injuries, which included a fractured nose.

The suspect fled at the Delancey Street/Essex Street station on the Lower East Side, police said.
