NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A third teenager was arrested Sunday in connection with a May stray-bullet shooting in the Bronx that left a five-year-old girl wounded, police said.
According to officials, a 17-year-old boy was charged with attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment.
According to officials, at around 5:25 p.m. on May 13, three suspects opened fire outside a Longwood deli located at 1007 Southern Blvd. striking a five-year-old girl with a bullet that grazed the right side of her head.
The girl was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem in stable condition.
On May 15, authorities arrested a 15-year-old boy, followed by the arrest of a 16-year-old boy on May 21. Both of those teens face similar severe charges, including attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a firearm.
