NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 19-year-old accused of shoving a victim onto Brooklyn subway tracks during an argument has been charged with attempted murder, according to the NYPD.
Andrew Pashinin, who lives in Westchester, was arrested Tuesday morning for the Dec. 7 attack. He is charged with attempted murder, two counts of assault, reckless endangerment, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
On the morning of the shove, police said that Pashinin was engaged in a verbal disagreement with a 33-year-old man on the southbound D and N platform at the Atlantic Avenue–Barclays Center subway station.

The situation escalated when Pashinin allegedly pushed the victim onto the tracks, police said. He allegedly fled on foot and police later released surveillance images of the suspect to help in his apprehension.
The victim suffered minor injuries but refused medical attention at the scene, authorities said.
According to the New York Daily News, the fight broke out because Pashinin was taking a video, which offended the victim. It was not clear what he was recording.
The same report said that a criminal possession of a weapon charge was leveled against Pashinin because he had a knife on him at the time of his arrest.
