NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man died after he was stabbed at a Queens subway station on Friday morning, police said.
The victim, who has not been identified, was stabbed on an R-line platform at the Grand Avenue–Newtown station in Elmhurst around 5:45 a.m., according to police.
Officers responding to a 911 call found the man unconscious with a stab wound to his upper chest, police said.
He was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital by EMS but did not survive.
Police said it appears the victim was homeless.
An investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been reported.
