NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man who fell off his scooter on the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver early Tuesday, authorities said.
According to officials, the victim was riding east just before 4 a.m., when he lost control and fell from his scooter near the Bay Parkway exit in Bensonhurst.
Police said he was getting back on the scooter when he was hit by a passing black vehicle, police said.
The video did not stop and was last seen heading east on the Belt Parkway., cops said.
The victim died at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
