Man fatally hit by train during fight at Brooklyn subway station

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man was struck and killed by a subway train during a fight on a station platform in Brooklyn early Wednesday morning, police said.

The victim and a second person were in a dispute at the Prospect Park B/Q station in Prospect Lefferts Gardens around 2:30 a.m. when he was hit by an oncoming train, according to cops.

The man did not fall onto the tracks but was struck while on the platform, police said.

He suffered severe head trauma and was found unresponsive by police officers responding to a report of an assault.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and hasn’t yet been identified.

Images from the scene show the man's body dangling off the platform as police investigate and commuters wait for trains.

There was no immediate word of any arrests or suspects in the case.

The incident caused service disruptions across the B, Q, D and N lines during the Wednesday morning rush.
