NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 32-year-old man was fatally shot in a Bronx auto shop Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The violence unfolded around 1:37 p.m. when the 19-year-old suspect got into a confrontation with the victim at an auto shop on the corner of Randall and Bryant avenues in Hunts Point, according to police
During the dispute, the 19-year-old brandished a firearm and fired several shots at the victim, striking him in the torso, cops said.
The victim was transported NYC Health + Hospital/Lincoln, where he was pronouned dead.
The shooter was taken into custody with charges pending.
The identities of both men have not yet been released.
The killing is the latest in a violent week of gunfire, which comes as the city experienced a drop in shootings through July.
